OCIF, incorporated in April of 2005, was formed, among other things, to support projects promoting patient education, continuing medical education, and regional charitable organizations.  Funding is secured through charitable gifts, donations and grants. The Foundation partners with donors to strengthen and support health and fitness in meeting the medical needs of the community.  The purpose for which the corporation is organized is exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

OCIF, NFP will make distributions only to charitable organizations that further its exempt purpose.  In addition, OCIF will require reports from organizations and/or individuals who receive funds setting forth exactly what such funds were used for.

Our Objectives

  • Effectively advocate for, and promote, the OCIF to various external constituencies to increase its visibility, enhance public understanding of
    the mission, develop ongoing relationships for OCIF that result in
    increased support.
  • Serve as the nonprofit organization that receives, manages, administers and disburses private funds on behalf of OCIF’s purpose.
  • Identify, cultivate and assist in the solicitation and stewardship of private funds, including outright and deferred gifts for initiatives that cannot be funded by public money.
  • Provide a means of perpetual trusteeship of funds donated by individuals or organizations for programs or activities benefiting the Foundation.
